Hello!
You’ve now been a non-smoker for about a month. Congratulations! It was no doubt difficult at times, but what satisfaction, right?

A month: Something worth celebrating!
- Treat yourself: Dinner out? A night at the movies? A little gift? You shouldn’t have any qualms about spending a little on yourself with all the money you’ve now saved in your new smoke-free life! And this money will go to a good cause: your well-being!
- Treating yourself doesn’t necessarily mean buying something expensive. Taking time for yourself is often a thousand times more valuable and gratifying than expensive objects.
- Send yourself a congratulatory card, a bouquet of flowers or balloons.
- Tell yourself how proud you are of yourself. Write it in your diary.
- Are you into stickers? Do you have a weakness for stars, angels and cute animals? Why not stick them in your diary? Write in red, "ONE MONTH: WAY TO GO!" It may seem a bit childish, but what’s wrong with having a little fun?
- How about thanking your sponsor or teammate and all the people who’ve been supporting you?
- Share your pride with the on-line community. You can be sure everyone will cheer with you!

Continue to be on your guard...
- If you’re using a pharmacological aid (patch, gum, lozenges, varenicline, bupropion), don’t change your treatment without first checking with your doctor or pharmacist.
- Are you afraid you won’t be able to resist the temptation to smoke in certain situations or around certain people? Avoid them or, if that's impossible, reinforce your motivation beforehand: reread your list of reasons for not smoking, repeat an inspiring statement a few times, visualize yourself in the situation without smoking.
- Drink water, eat well and stay active: these are the best strategies for controlling your weight. More strategies to avoid weight gain are available on the site.
Don’t forget to do your tallies: minutes, hours and days without smoking, number of cigarettes not smoked, money saved. To help you calculate, try out the calculator.
