Dear participants,

The fifth week of the Challenge begins today, and I have to confess that I'm more than a little proud of the progress I've made so far. I imagine that the chewing-gum inventories in my neighborhood stores are starting to drop – and that's fine! But joking aside, I'm hanging in there and I'm seeing the positive effects of my new smoke-free life more and more.

I hope that things are going well for you too. Don't forget: when the going gets more difficult, instead of squabbling with your boyfriend, your girlfriend or someone in your family, you can go find a little pick-me-up with members of the on-line community.

That's one of the strong points of the Challenge: we're never alone in our efforts – and that goes a long way towards preserving our relationships!

Don't give up: I need to know that you're with me in this!

Have a good week,
José Gaudet

José's tip
To keep you motivated along the way, think about everything you gain by not smoking any more. Do you feel that your food has more taste? That it's a lot nicer going outside to breathe the soft air of spring than going out for a smoke? That you have more breath to play with the kids or simply to go up the stairs?

All kinds of reasons to stop smoking and let you benefit from what life has to offer!
